Starting out as a technical writer, Mary Ann could see that what really interested her was to be involved in actual project development. "I have always loved computers and technology," she said. Within a year, she had that opportunity, along with the training she needed.
The environment at TD Ameritrade has a lot to offer. "There are so many different systems and languages. You're not limited in what you're able to do," she said. "The Company's growing and changing so quickly, especially in technology. It's possible to move into other areas to advance your career within the Company."
In fact, making the move to other areas is something that Mary Ann has considered, but the diversity within her current area keeps here right where she is. "I'll work on conversions one day and regulatory reports for the Fed the next. I like what I do. It keeps me busy and challenged," she said.
