When Archana met with TD Ameritrade's on-campus recruiter at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, the timing couldn't have been better. "I already had a little experience working for a financial institution in India and had always wanted to be a part of this industry as there are so many new challenges and things to learn," she said.
As a technology associate with ThinkTech Jersey City, Archana is working in applications development for the Company’s institutional business, which serves a network of more than 4,000 independent registered investment advisors. This allows her to work in JAVA, which is very important to her. In her first nine months on the job, she has gained additional knowledge working on a number of other applications and technologies as well.
"The whole team has given me a lot of support and encouragement, which has helped me in the work I do," she said. "I'm happy I'm here. I feel I'm on the right track to get where I want to be in the future."
