Omaha, NE: Our pioneering spirit is alive and well.

From the great outdoors to its cultural attractions, Omaha isn't just home to TD AMERITRADE, but a host of great entertainment and sports.

The connecting point between major waterways and now interstate highways, Omaha’s central location has been key to its ongoing growth and development - first as a stopping off point for early settlers on their journey west, and given even greater significance by the journeys of Lewis and Clark. This pioneering spirit continues today as Omaha is home to USSTRATCOM, one of nine unified commands in the Department of Defense, along with some of America’s leading companies, one of them being TD AMERITRADE's ThinkTech Omaha.

Forget any preconceived stereotypes you may have about the city. Omaha was among the top three cities in Kiplinger.com's 2008 best U.S. cities to live, work and play. It is home to world-class museums, headline entertainment, the arts and a great many cultural activities and events – even a vibrant nightlife. Known for its beef, you'll also discover a seemingly limitless array of local and international cuisine.

If your tastes tend toward the outdoors, Omaha is the place to be. Parks offer wide expanses of greenery and lush landscapes. Numerous bike trails wind through the city. You can join a variety of amateur sports leagues, hunt, fish, camp and hike or even take in some of the most exciting Division I sporting events in the country – including baseball, basketball and hockey. Omaha is also home to the AAA minor league baseball team, the Omaha Royals and the NCAA Men’s College World Series. In 2008, the city hosted the first and second rounds of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, the NCAA Women’s Volleyball Final Four and the 2008 Olympic Swimming Trials.
